Data from Locus, Law Ledger , BHL, Open Practice, KGData and
many others can be converted. This provides for migration of matter
transaction history including trust, disbursement, debtors and
WIP so that from day one you have a complete history.
When estimating initial costs there are a number of factors that
need to be considered. The most critical of these is the conversion
of your existing data. The time required for data conversion will
vary significantly from firm to firm depending on the accounting
system presently being used. Factors to consider include: the
length of time for which this system has been in use, the number
of matters handled by the firm, the type of work generally carried
out by the firm and the number of ledger balances that will initially
be required to be brought forward.
