From a client's matter in LEAP Documents you are able to immediately
view the trust ledger balance, any unbilled disbursements or
time entries, debtors and any work in progress. From this point
you are also able to create cheques and receipts for the matter
for either the trust or office accounts.
All staff are also able to create time and disbursement billing
entries in the client's matter in LEAP Documents and these entries
can then be sent to the accounting system as required.
The office accounting module also records all disbursements
ordered through the LEAP Disbursement Management System. This
system enables you to order most items required for a matter
including titles searches, property enquiries, pest and building
reports, surveys, medical reports, settlement bookings etc directly
from within the specified matter screen. The charges for the
ordered items are then automatically posted as a disbursement
to the client's matter which may then be sent to the PERFECT
Balance system when required. You may then be reimbursed from
funds held in trust or you are able to enter the client's credit
card details so that they may reimburse us automatically without
having to place any funds through you.
Clearly the integration with LEAP Documents provides huge benefits
in time savings as you no longer need to enter basic client
and matter information into two systems. This also reduces the
likelihood of errors. All users of LEAP Documents will have
access to all the basic accounting information for a matter
without having to open PERFECT Balance 2004 which enables general
work to be greatly streamlined.
Word bills that are generated through PERFECT Balance 2004
are saved back into your LEAP Documents matter, keeping a current
record of documents created and received assisting with your
‘paperless’ office.
